Former Iran basketball captain Kashani dies

TEHRAN – Former captain of Iran’s men’s basketball team Nader Kashani passed away at the age of 78.
Kashani started his playing basketball career with Pas Tehran and won four national titles with the team.
Kashani became the captain of the Iran men's national basketball team from 1961 and represented Team Melli at the 1966 Asian Games, 1970 Asian Games, 1973 ABC Championship and 1974 Asian Games.
He retired from basketball in 1977.
Kashani died on April 22 at the age of 78 years in Tehran, capital of Iran.
Tehran Times extends its deepest sympathy to Kashani’s family, loved ones, and friends over his demise.
